SteelForge wishes to remind you of the following established practices of the metal finishing industry in processing your materials:
It is widely acknowledged that despite utilizing the most advanced scientific knowledge and the expertise of highly skilled professionals, inherent risks remain in the metal processing, inspection, and finishing industries. To ensure clarity and mutual understanding, we have outlined the following terms and conditions under which your materials will be accepted for processing.
Our liability for any cause is limited to the cost of direct labor and material of the product directly damaged by our processing or three times our processing charges on such material, whichever is lesser. Charges for our services are based on this policy limiting our liability. No liability will be assumed for scrappage of 3 percent (this includes, but is not limited to, scrappage and/or loss for any reason that results in shipped quantity discrepancies).
Liability greater than that outlined above will only be assumed by us when agreed to in writing. In such cases, a higher charge may be applied for our services.
Parts, materials, etc., as processed by us shall be presumed satisfactory unless we are notified of damages, shortages, or other discrepancies within 10 working days of receipt. Rejected parts must be returned to us for rework. Further processing or assembly of rejected parts by you or any other party constitutes a waiver of any liability on our part.
